Training Opportunities

Training for public safety personnel (PSP) may take on many forms, such as efforts to reduce stigma, increase knowledge, or minimize mental health disorders through resiliency training and early intervention programs.

Currently there are no scheduled CIPSRT training opportunities available. Check back for updates!

A significant portion of CIPSRT training for PSP was made available through a project funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC). Since the project’s funding period has elapsed, our scheduled training sessions are now complete.

CIPSRT values training as an important element of our work toward improving the mental health and wellbeing of PSP across Canada. We are currently in a transition period as we examine the possibilities and carefully consider the future directions of training at CIPSRT. During this transition period, we are not offering training courses. However, please check back for updates as we expect to make further announcements in the coming months.

PSP opportunities for evidence-based learning continue to be available through CIPSRT Knowledge Exchange Hub initiatives including webinars, panel discussions, conferences, and numerous tools and resources, all located in the ‘knowledge for you’ section of our website, as well as our ‘PSP Connect’ network of frontline PSP. PSP may also access our free pspmentalhealth.ca website for access to a list of mental health supports available to Canadian PSP and their families.

Stay Informed about future training opportunities by following us on social media using the links above, or subscribing to our e-mail list.
