With over 25 years in law enforcement, Casey Ward has become a highly respected leader within the Regina Police Service and an advocate for law enforcement across Saskatchewan and Canada. Born and raised in Regina, Casey began his policing career in 1999 after graduating from the Saskatchewan Police Academy. Currently serving as Staff Sergeant for Regina’s North District, he oversees over 100 members, including traffic and drone units, to ensure public safety across the district. Previously, he led Regina’s VICE Unit, managing high-risk covert operations focused on supporting vulnerable communities and combating human trafficking. Casey also served 16 years on Regina’s SWAT team, with five years as Team Leader, and was the Public and Officer Safety Training Coordinator at Saskatchewan Police College, where he established advanced training standards.

In addition to his field roles, Casey has been a dedicated advocate for police officers’ rights and well-being. As President of the Saskatchewan Federation of Police Officers since 2014, he represents over 1,400 officers across the province, and as a Board Member of the Canadian Police Association, he contributes to national law enforcement policy. Casey also co-chairs the Canadian Institute for Public Safety Research and Treatment, furthering mental health support for first responders.

Awarded the 2023 Order of Merit of the Police Forces, Casey’s dedication extends beyond his professional life; he has coached Regina Minor Football since 2016, recently leading his team to a 2024 Peewee Championship.
